Winter Speaker Series with Catherine Bond Muir

Join us for a discussion with Catherine Bond Muir, CEO of W Series – the groundbreaking women’s racing series – followed by networking with Cass students, staff and alumni.

Catherine is a former intellectual property solicitor who specialised in sport with a bit of sports law journalism thrown in. After law, Catherine moved into corporate finance, specialising in sports and gaming deals. W Series started its life at her dining room table, looking for a new venture after taking a career break after having her only child at 45.

W Series, the all-female racing championship started racing in 2019 in 6 European countries. The 20 drivers (from 15 different countries) were carefully selected from a pool of more than 100 applicants from 30 countries around the world, including the USA, China and India as well as the UK, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia. Season 2 kicks off in May this year, racing in Russia, Sweden, Italy, Germany, UK, Holland, and the last two races are in October with Formula One in the USA and Mexico. W Series has been greeted with global acclaim from fans and media around the world. In its first year W Series reached a global audience of 6 billion. It was also the only motorsport live on the five national channels in the UK.
