The Cass M&A and PE Society is happy to have confirmed senior professionals from KKR and KPMG who will come and give insights into Restructuring & Distressed Debt investment as well as their day-to-day responsibilities and actual cases they recently worked on.

Tim Kramer

joined KPMG as an Analyst in the restructuring team in 2014 and is a manager in KPMG UK’s Special Situations team today. His team focuses on a broad range of topics including cash flow and cost improvement, turnaround, financial restructuring and business model transformation projects. During his time at university, he completed several internships including one as a summer analyst in Nomura’s investment banking division.


Tim holds a BSc. in International Business Administration and an MSc. Finance & Investments from Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University. During his undergraduate degree, he also studied a semester abroad at Cass Business School

Kristin Hall

joined KKR in 2017 and is a Principal focusing on the Special Situations funds and portfolios. Previously, Ms. Hall worked at BlueMountain Capital in special situations, where she was actively engaged in a number of investments across the capital structure. Prior to BlueMountain, Ms. Hall worked on the consumer & healthcare private equity team at Warburg Pincus as well as the M&A team at Goldman Sachs in London. Ms. Hall holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in International Studies from the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduating from undergrad, Ms. Hall went on to win a Marshall Scholarship. She earned her MSc in Development Economics from Oxford University and her MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics.
