The 3rd Symposium organized by LatImperial will discuss recent UK based research focused on topics related to Sustainable Development in Latin America.
Following up the Paris COP21 agreement, which most of the Latin American nations adopted, this Symposium will cover topics such as the role of the raw materials industry, energy efficiency and utilisation, and waste and recycling in Latin America, among others.
The event will host presentations by postgraduate students and senior researchers, as well as political authorities, such as Embassy representatives and staff from science related institutions.
The sessions will be followed by a drinks reception, where you can network with expert speakers and attendees.
The Symposium will take place the 20-21 May 2019 in room 164, Skempton Building of the South Kensington Campus of Imperial College London.
Free and open to all. Registration is compulsory.

PRESENTING AT THE SYMPOSIUM:
If your research is related to sustainable development issues and Latin America, you are invited to present a 15 min talk of your research findings in this event. The best presentations will be recognized at the end of the event.
In order to present your research findings we require you to submit an abstract of 300 words maximum. All abstracts will be externally peer reviewed to verify they meet with the Symposium guidelines.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
As the event will be held in an educational institution, it is preferable that each attendant registers through eventbrite so that the correct list of attendees is available
I am a student presenting at the Symposium but I'm not based in London. Is there any travel assistance provided?
