A Seat at the Table - An Evening With Pink Dynasty

Equal Pay, Diversity of Boards, Positive Discrimination, Access to Educational and Professional Opportunities…We have all heard of these but what do they really mean for our futures?

Pink Dynasty feel that it is only by discussing these fundamental issues with those most affected, that meaningful change can be achieved. Their goal is to empower more young women to take their seat at the table!

In order to achieve this, the Pink Dynasty programme provides members, who come from a diverse range of communities across London, with a year of mentorship, workshops, and placements, designed to support their personal, professional and leadership development. With the support of a dedicated mentor and leadership executive coach, PD members receive an excellent foundation from which to launch their careers. PD mentors include inspiring leaders and professionals with a wide range of experience from the business world who have a passion to break down barriers and build participation.

In partnership with Pink Dynasty (PD), the Diane Abbott Foundation is hosting an event to empower young women from marginalised backgrounds to join the debate. We want young women living across London to have their voices heard in the very place where our countries policies and laws are debated.

At the event, we will be joined by influential VIPs including Diane Abbott (the first black woman to hold a seat in the House of Commons), and Anna-Maria Ronnqvist (Strong Woman World Champion) who will share their own stories about their path to leadership in predominantly male environments, and success despite adversity. The Pink Dynasty team, including a number of current and past members, will also be sharing information about our programme and how you could be part of our league of extraordinary women in 2019.
