“Plugging Python into a Stata estimation command"
 

Abstract. This three hour talk shows how to plug Python into a Stata estimation  command. This talk assumes that you are familiar with Python. It provides an introduction to writing a Stata estimation command. The talk begins by discussing a simple Stata estimation command that uses only Stata.  Then the Stata numerical code is replaced with a Python plugin. It provides a model for complex programs that leverage advanced methods coded in Python.
